Covid Vaccine now available in Kuwait

According to the Kuwait Times the Covid vaccine has arrived in Kuwait:
"Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah yesterday said the first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines will arrive at dawn today, and the vaccination process will begin at the weekend. According to a press statement by the health ministry, vaccinations will be held in four stages according to priority – first for healthcare workers, those above 65 years of age, frontliners and then the rest of the society. Sheikh Basel said 73,700 people have registered online to receive the vaccine, adding that inoculations will continue until everyone is vaccinated."

They have previously stated Kuwait will be receiving the Pfizer/BioNTech Vaccine.  They have also stated it will be freely available to all, including expats.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine (not the Covid vaccine)

Everyone is focused on Covid-19, but the regular seasonal flu is still something to guard against.  The regular seasonal (winter) flu vaccine is now available for expats in Kuwait by appointment.  If you are interested, register at the Ministry of Health E Services site.
