How to Reduce the Calories in your Cooked Rice

White rice is common all over the world, but it isn’t good for you.  It’s primarily starch, which turns to sugar in your body, and later leads to fat.  

Students in Sri Lanka have discovered a simple way to cook rice that reduces the calories by up to 50%.   Cook the rice the same way you normally do, but while the water is boiling (before you add the rice), add coconut oil.  That’s it!

This works by reducing the amount of digestible starch in the rice.  The oil interacts with the starch and changes it in a way that’s positive to your health.  While there are many places in Kuwait to buy coconut oil, the Lulu Hypermarket off 208 carries it.

Natural Hair Care - Avocados

Did you know that you can use avocados for hair care?  This is an all-natural way to strengthen hair, add shine, and reduce hair loss.  One way to use it is to make a conditioner out of it.  Simply blend the following ingredients:
  • Two tablespoons of Avocado oil
  • Two tablespoons of Olive oil
  • One tablespoon of honey
  • Three tablespoons of natural yogurt (no sugar or sweeteners)
Massage this into your hair and scalp after washing and let it sit for about 20 minutes.  Avocado oil can also be used as a face moisturizer.
