RTC Electronics

The other day I had a power supply for a electronic device fail.  Normally this would be the end of the device, but this time I took the pwoer supply to RTC Electronics.  They were able to repair the device for me and it only cost 3KD!  Now my device is working again.  It would have been time consuming and expensive to order a new power supply from the US.  RTC saved the day.

Do you need server cabinets, cable trays, led lighting, cables, wires, tools, testers, etc?  Do you like to build or repair your own electonic devices?  Check out RTC at: http://www.rtc-electronics.com.kw/

Samsung Galaxy S7 is no longer being sold

10/12/2016

It is sad but true.  One of the sexiest and best Smart Phones ever made is no longer being manufactured or sold.  It's sad, because I really wanted one.  Samsung just couldn't resolve their safety issues.  The initial round of phones reportedly caught fire.  Samsung initiated a recall (see the previous post), but the replacement phones seem to be having issues as well.  Samsung has decided to stop making the Note 7.  If you have a Note 7, you are eligible to get a refund or switch it for another model.  II personally like the Galaxy Edge S7, but it may be time to consider one of the new iPhones (I keep going back and forth between Android and iOS).  For more info, go to: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-37618618

The bottom line is this:  BE SAFE!!!  Don't take a chance on getting hurt or causing a fire in your home.  If you have a Note 7, turn it off and stop using it.  go back to where you bought the phone, or go straight to a Samsung Service Center (Click Here).  No matter what anyone says, you should be able to get an exchange or your money back.

Please add a comment with your experiences trying to return or exchange in Kuwait.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Recall

Most of you have heard, but the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is being recalled by Samsung.  The phone is at risk of overheating and possibly catching fire.  If you have one of these phones, you are eligible for a free replacement.  You should be able to go back to the place where you purchased the phone.  If they refuse, you should contact a Samsung Service center.

From Samsung:  "Samsung will give Note 7 users the option to exchange a recalled model for a brand-new (and fixed) unit. Any Note 7 sold before September 15 is impacted by the recall, and should be treated as such. If you're unsure about your device, you can use the IMEI checking tool on Samsung's recall site.
Alternatively, users can exchange the Note 7 for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge instead of a Note 7, complete with a refund of the difference in price between the two devices. Samsung will also allow users to exchange Note 7-specific accessories, should they choose this option.
Samsung advises users to return the device to the retail outlet at which the device was originally purchased, or call 1-800-SAMSUNG to initiate the exchange directly with Samsung.
Customers will also receive a $25 gift card or bill credit for the inconvenience. More details can be found on Samsung's website, by visiting a dedicated webpage for the Note 7 recall."
