Do you know of any good Iftar specials in kuwait or other restaurant deals during the 2016 Ramadan period in Kuwait? Share them here. Check back, we'll update this often:
An informative post from Mark's blog at 248am regarding working hours during Ramadan: http://248am.com/fajer/law/kuwait-law-ramadan-hours/#comments
Thanks to Mark at 248am I learned about a new laundry service in Kuwait. It allows you to download an app to your phone and place all your laundry orders, track your orders, and see your order history from your phone. Bottom line, I was impressed. You can schedule your pick up and drop off times and they actually stick to the times promised. On time delivery is unheard of in Kuwait, yet they manage to do it.
Bottom line, it's a little pricey, but very convenient. The clothes came out great! Give it a try!
The other day someone was asking where to buy Bean Bags in Kuwait. Banta has them at low prices:
While I haven't seen them, I've also heard of a person who makes custom bean bags under the name Mellow Bean Bags. You can reach them at +965 9965 6015.
BigBag Beanies is a local brand that makes custom bean bags, pillows and ottomans. They don’t have a store but you can Contact them at +965 6632 6094.
In recent years Mark has posted details about restaurants in Kuwait and their Iftar buffets and/or specials during Ramadan. For more information, check out his blog: http://248am.com/mark/food/ramadan-buffets-kuwait-2015/
In addition to what he has listed there, check out The Bistro at Miral Restaurant Complex in Mangaf. They have a nice Iftar special and the best shisha in Kuwait. If you go by, try the "Fire and Ice" shisha!
We also popped by Chili's at Miral the other day expecting them to have something. They did not have any specials for Iftar.
A local blog had an interesting post about restaurants that deliver before Iftar. For more information, check out Marks post at 2:48am: http://248am.com/mark/food/restaurants-that-deliver-before-iftar-2015/#comment-871068
White rice is common all over the world, but it isn’t good for you. It’s primarily starch, which turns to sugar in your body, and later leads to fat.
Students in Sri Lanka have discovered a simple way to cook rice that reduces the calories by up to 50%. Cook the rice the same way you normally do, but while the water is boiling (before you add the rice), add coconut oil. That’s it!
This works by reducing the amount of digestible starch in the rice. The oil interacts with the starch and changes it in a way that’s positive to your health. While there are many places in Kuwait to buy coconut oil, the Lulu Hypermarket off 208 carries it.
